KoldLok® Prevents the Escape of Cold Air

KoldLok® Raised Floor Grommet from Chatsworth Products (CPI) effectively increases cooling in data centers or equipment rooms by preventing the escape of cold air through holes in access floor tiles. As much as 50% of the cold air in an access floor environment escapes through the cable access holes. This unproductive and expensive bypass airflow reduces the efficiency and the effectiveness of computer room air conditioning units.

CPI’s KoldLok features a double-layer brush closure that seals around cables to prevent the escape of cold air, thereby reducing cooling costs and increasing cooling performance. The KoldLok Raised Floor Grommet is easy to install over existing holes without re-cabling and permits large cable bundles and power connectors to pass through openings. Choose from several grommet styles including Integral, Split Integral, Surface-Mount and Extended Brush.
