Preserving Network Infrastructure Survival
The heart of your network infrastructure is based on the survival of their core network switches. When employing side-to-side airflow, network switches located in a hot aisle/cold aisle layout run the risk of re-consuming hot exhaust air, causing elevated equipment intake temperatures.
Designed to meet third party specifications for Cisco 6500 and 9500 switches, the N-Series™ TeraFrame Network Cabinet from Chatsworth Products (CPI) combats thermal challenges associated with network switches using side-to-side airflow in a hot aisle/cold aisle layout. By employing CPI Passive Cooling™ Solutions, the N-Series TeraFrame can manage high-density switches while maximizing energy efficiency and decreasing total cost of ownership. Not only does the N-Series provide the best choice for supporting network infrastructure but also presents advanced cabling solutions for greater cable capacity and management.
N-Series TeraFrame Network Cabinet:
Thermal Management
- Remove Hot Exhaust Air – The Network Switch Exhaust Duct isolates and re-directs hot exhaust air from network switches with side-to-side airflow out of the cabinet and into the hot aisle, preserving critical equipment. Running the length of the cabinet, the duct can support up to three network switches and allows freedom to organize and move equipment as needed.
- Maximize Energy Efficiency – CPI Passive Cooling Solutions involve no active components to compromise redundancy and decrease total cost of ownership.
- Supports Hot Aisle/Cold Aisle Layout – Proper room design and airflow management allows network and server cabinets to be situated next to one another without overheating.
Cable Management
- Extra Cable Capacity – Offset doors and side panels provide additional interior space around the cabinet frame so that more cable can be added; manage up to 48 Cat 6a UTP cables per RMU.
- Easy Cable Access – Cables route around the frame for easy access during moves, adds and changes while removable doors and side panels increase interior accessibility.
- Simple RMU Organization – Vertical T-shaped cable guides with patented 1U fingers and cable management spools divide and organize cables.
